Portland, ME Sept 2, 2008 — Kepware Technologies, the leader in communications for automation and member of the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, announced today that it has released its latest product delivering device connectivity from plant floor equipment to Oracle's manufacturing applications including Oracle Manufacturing Operations Center, and Oracle Discrete Manufacturing components of the Oracle E-Business Suite. Kepware's KEPServerEX product, with over 130 protocols supporting connectivity to 1000s of devices, will deliver plant floor information directly to these Oracle products through interfaces built specifically for each, maximizing reliability and ease of use.
Kepware announced its relationship with Oracle in February 2008 and began the development of enhancements to its KEPServerEX product to specifically meet Oracle connectivity requirements. These enhancements include; two new Plug-ins for Oracle Discrete Manufacturing and Oracle Manufacturing Operations Center connectivity, Advanced Tags – delivering math and logic functionality, and an OPC DA Client Driver – enabling KEPServerEX to be a gateway between third party OPC Servers and the Oracle Applications. These new features will enable KEPServerEX to monitor the operation of any machine or process, collect or calculate information related to machine or process performance, and deliver that information to Oracle Applications for further analysis, reporting and enterprise dissemination.
KEPServerEX's integration with Oracle Applications is available now from Kepware and Kepware Sales and Distribution Partners. A demonstration version, delivering full functionality and two hours of operation is available for download off the Kepware Website at www.kepware.com.
