HEADLINE: Kepware Technologies Releases The BACnet OPC Server

RELEASE: Yarmouth, ME April 27, 2005 -- Kepware Technologies, a leading worldwide supplier of OPC client/server technology, announces the release of their new Building Automation and Control Networks (BACnet) driver. It provides connectivity to equipment using the BACnet protocol over Ethernet (often referred to as ("BACnet/IP" or "Annex J"). The driver provides access to BACnet networks through Kepware's category leading OPC server KEPServerEX. This product supplies proven and consistent data access to any HMI, SCADA, Historian, or Enterprise application that supports OPC, DDE, Advanced DDE, FastDDE, or SuiteLink.

Kepware's BACnet solution supports Application Protocol Data Unit (APDU), Command Priority, subscription to Change of Value (COV) event notifications for many properties, as well as object support for most properties of all standard object types. In addition to a Multi-threaded design that ensures optimum performance, the KEPServerEX/BACnet product also allows support for up to 100 concurrent communication sessions.
