HEADLINE: Kepware Technologies Releases OPC DX (Data Exchange) plug-in for their OPC Server KEPServerEX
RELEASE: Yarmouth, ME, June 1, 2004 - Kepware Technologies, a leading worldwide supplier of OPC server technology, announces today the release of a OPC DX (Data Exchange) plug-in that will allow DX technology to be deployed in any KEPServerEX application. OPC DX, one of the most recent specifications released by the OPC Foundation, provides a set of standard functions that allow OPC servers to share data between each other. By allowing OPC servers to communicate directly with each other, OPC DX becomes a universal translator for a wide range of communications protocols and buses. As more products become OPC DX enabled, the level of effort required to integrate differing control systems will be dramatically reduced.
