Kepware Technologies announces NEW Driver - Siemens S7-200 Ethernet!

RELEASE: Yarmouth, ME, March 14, 2003 - Kepware Technologies, the leading supplier of OPC server technology, announces today the release of the Siemens S7-200 Ethernet driver. Kepware's Siemens S7-200 Ethernet device driver works in conjunction with our OPC Server KEPServerEX, to provide data exchange between OPC Clients and Siemens S7-200 PLCs using TCP/IP Ethernet protocol. S7-200 Ethernet support has been implemented as an enhancement to the current driver support for the S7-300 & S7-400 PLCs.

The S7-200 Ethernet driver talks directly to the S7-200 series PLC using a standard PC network interface card, no additional software packages or libraries are required. The S7-200 PLC must be equipped with the new CP-243 communications module from Siemens.

Mark Hensley, President of Kepware, states, "Customers have been requesting a Siemens S7-200 Ethernet driver - wanting to take advantage of our easy to use interface, unprecedented reliability, and superior price/performance ratio they have come to expect from Kepware." He continues, "This driver compliments our current support for the S7-300 and S7-400 series to continue providing our customers a very cost-effective alternative to communicating to the Siemens PLCs directly from their PC network interface card." This driver joins our existing long list of supported industrial protocols; representing our continued commitment to responding to our customers' requests.
