RELEASE: Yarmouth, ME May 19, 2005 -- Kepware
Technologies, a leading worldwide supplier of OPC client/server
technology,
announces the release of the new Triconex Ethernet Device
Driver for KEPServerEX. This new driver supplies reliable
data access to any HMI, SCADA, Historian, or Enterprise application
that supports OPC, DDE, FastDDE, and SuiteLink. It is intended
for use with Triconex Tricon and Trident devices equipped
with Ethernet communications modules. Given the Fault Tolerate
design of the Tricon system, this robust driver from Kepware
also supports optional network media level redundancy. If
a primary network media failure occurs the driver will automatically
switch to secondary network media while Driver System tags
notify the user that failover has occurred.
Kepware President, Mark Hensley ads, "The Triconex
driver utilizes key networking features of the Tricon system
such as Unsolicited data collection and redundancy. Both
of these features enhance communications while reducing
network bandwidth."
The Triconex driver also support Kepware's Automatic
Tag Database Generation feature. Using the ATDG function,
this driver directly import tags for all of the variables
in a TriStation project file. This saves set-up time and
reduces common start-up errors due to improper addressing.
