Kepware works hard to make sure there are seamless migration paths from one version to another of Kepware products. In most cases, these migrations are completely automatic and are performed in the background. Please see release notes and product documentation for details. Based on the level of effort Kepware puts into seamless migrations and quality control, we strongly encourage our customers to use our latest versions in order to receive the best support and products Kepware has to offer. |
Kepware offers a variety of products that fall into categories of Tools, and Runtime products. These products have varying purchase policies with respect to the acquisition of old versions. They are outlined below.
- KEPServer Version 3 Products - Are no longer available for purchase and are no longer supported.
- KEPServerEX Version 4 Products - Are available for purchase from Kepware at the price of 65% above the standard list price. This purchase will entitle you to a FREE future upgrade to KEPServerEX Version 5.x (support contracts are sold separately).
- KEPServerEX Version 4x License Unlock Policy - Additional unlocks for legacy 4x drivers will require a support agreement if the license has been unlocked 2 or more times in the past.
- KEPServerEX Version 5.x is our current product. When a new release of Version 5 is available, it immediately replaces the previous version. Previous releases of Version 5 products are not available for purchase.
- COI Software's iSNMP OPC Server Version 2 & 3 - Has been replaced and is no longer available for purchase and are no longer supported. COI Software was purchased by Kepware and has been replaced with KEPServerEX v5 and the SNMP driver.
- LinkMaster, RedundancyMaster, DX Link and ClientAce are available in their current versions only. Previous versions are not available for these products.
