of communications options for Siemens PLCs. Each of the
Serial drivers supports our Ethernet Encapsulation feature
that allows any serial device to be network enabled using
low cost Ethernet-Serial device servers.
The Siemens S7-200
PPI/PPM opc driver has recently been upgraded
to support the EM241 Modem module for the S7-200
PLC
family. The EM241 modem module provides fast modem
access to your S7-200 application in an easy to use
plug-in module. Check with your Siemens representative
for more information on this exciting new connectivity
option from Siemens.
Our latest driver, the Siemens S7
TCP/IP Ethernet opc driver, provides high speed
connectivity to the Siemens S7-200, S7-300 and S7-400
using the TCP/IP
protocol. The Siemens S7 TCP/IP opc driver does not
require any additional software packages or libraries
and
can be used in conjunction with your Step 7 software.
Note: Step 7 does not need to be installed for driver
operation.
Our Siemens S5 opc drivers, AS511 and 3964R,
both support our Ethernet Encapsulation feature that
allows you to access these devices from your Ethernet
network using device servers (Ethernet to Serial Converters)
like the Digi One IA and Digi One SP.
