Overview
OverviewKepware's 32 bit GE FANUC Ethernet Global Data (EGD) device driver works in conjunction with our OPC Server KEPServerEX, to provide data exchange between OPC Clients and GE PLCs using EGD Unicast and Multicast packets. Data integrity is ensured with our extensive error handling. The EGD driver supports the Automatic Tag Database Generation features of KEPServerEX. The GE EGD OPC Server supports both Producer and Consumer connections and can act as a stand alone EGD device. Using this capability, any PC can become an EGD device and share data using either Unicast or Multicast UDP packets.
This driver is part of the GE Fanuc Communications OPC Server Suite. Purchasing either the GE SNP Serial OPC Server, GE SNPX Serial OPC Server, GE Fanuc Ethernet OPC Server, GE Fanuc Ethernet Global Data OPC Server, or the GE Fanuc CCM Serial OPC Server entitles you to all five drivers.
