KEPServerEX V5 (all drivers and plug-ins), LinkMaster V3, RedundancyMaster V2

Kepware products incorporate tools for handling licensing and entitlements. A My Kepware ID and an internet connection is required to activate the application intended for use. Licensing is not managed within the application but through a separate License Activation Utility.

An Activation ID is delivered after a product is ordered. For Software Keys, enter the Activation ID that you were provided when you ordered the software into the Licensing Utility and generate the Activation request file. Using the online license management located at My Kepware upload the activation request file or send the file to support@kepware.com. An activation response file will be returned to you.

KEPServerEX V4 (all drivers and plug-ins)

Licensing begins when you obtain a license key from Kepware or an authorized distributor. This license key will be utilized and entered in KEPServerEX through the Help menu and selecting "License a Plug-in". A computer ID will then be associated with the license on the installed machine. A "Password" is then needed to activate the Server for unlimited use, and can be obtained through your My Kepware account at www.kepware.com or by emailing or calling Kepware technical support. After the user enters in a valid license number provided for a specific driver, the user will have 10 days in which to contact Kepware for an unlock password.

LinkMaster V2 and RedundancyMaster V1

LinkMaster and RedundancyMaster utilize the same licensing mechanism as KEPServerEX V4. A product license registration code can be obtained by contacting Kepware or an authorized distributor. Once a product registration code has been obtained a "Password" is then needed to activate the Server for unlimited use and can be obtained through your My Kepware account at www.kepware.com or by emailing or calling Kepware technical support. After the user enters in a valid license number provided a specific driver, the user will have 10 days in which to contact Kepware for an unlock password.

ClientACE

ClientAce .NET controls on the development PC must be licensed in order for custom client applications to be signed for unlimited runtime operation. ClientAce must be licensed such that all ClientAce .NET controls can be signed. Otherwise, runtime applications built with the ClientAce will run in demo mode for 1 hour. After the demo period expires, another demonstration period can be started by restarting the application. Once licensed, runtime applications built with ClientAce .NET controls are signed, and the applications will deliver unlimited runtime operation.

To license, select the ClientAce license utility "Acquire License" feature. This will generate text that needs to be sent to Kepware. Kepware will send you an unlock code to Register your product.

Demo Periods

All Kepware software products excluding ClientAce run for 2 hours at a time. ClientAce offers a 1 hour demonstration period. The Demo period can be repeated at any time by stopping and starting the application. There are no other limitations to the products and plug-ins. Channel, Device, and Tag counts are unlimited.
