DevOps Manager

Portland, Maine 

You will collaborate with engineers and leadership to define and execute a DevOps program which integrates people, processes and tools to maximize the organization’s efficiency of building, testing, and delivering secure and high-quality software.  As a DevOps practitioner with applied experience, you will be able to anticipate the challenges of DevOps and team interactions while recommending and implementing tested solutions that support engineers and management through all phases of the software development lifecycle.

You will be part of a fast-moving, responsive engineering group using Agile development processes to create world class software products which delight our customers.  Working on a team, your mission will be to support our product development teams by developing reliable, scalable, and efficient CI/CD solutions.

Your Day-To-Day

On a daily basis, you will work with a small team to design and implement modern continuous integration and delivery solutions, supporting all engineering teams in their mission to deliver great software in line with business direction, while helping build the skills and abilities of your team. You will champion DevOps methodologies and help teams and leadership adapt and modify existing processes to integrate a DevOps mindset into day-to-day operations.

Skills and Knowledge 

  • Thought leader and expert on DevOps methods and best use of DevOps tools
  • Working collaboratively with stakeholders to define and implement improvements to CI/CD infrastructure supporting automated build, test, and release promotion pipelines
  • Strong experience implementing automation of process flows using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or GoCD
  • Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code solutions
  • Managing infrastructure deployed in cloud platforms, including Azure and AWS
  • Skilled at communicating with all levels in the organization, including technical engineers and executives
  • Effective at conflict management techniques that facilitate improved team communication
  • Lead root cause analysis efforts, taking actions required for continuous improvement
  • Experience solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges
  • Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
  • Ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective and handle interpersonal issues with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to engage relevant stakeholders across functions to mitigate team impediments 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in implementing continuous integration/delivery solutions.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting platform and release automation, tool selection, and metrics tracking.
  • Experience with source code management such as Git or Subversion.
  • Experience with DevOps tools across development lifecycle (e.g. GitLab, GoCD, Jenkins, AWS, Azure, Docker, Artifactory, Chef).
  • Experience in operational areas such as change & release mgmt., infrastructure, security, or hosting.
  • Ability to lead instructor training in DevOps practices.
  • An understanding of the principles and values underlying Lean and Agile flow. Prior success applying Scrum/Kanban/SAFe/LeSS experience is preferred.
Kepware Americas Channel Manager

  • Daily internal discussions regarding channel strategies and external conversations with specific partner regarding their opportunities, challenges and assistance
  • Partner QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews)
  • 25% domestic and international travel to key partners and events

Product Manager

The Kepware Product Management team is defining the connectivity strategy and product backlog for the world’s leading industrial IoT solutions. You will work with a passionate group of talented product leaders with a variety of experiences in industrial connectivity.  

Your Day-To-Day

A Product Manager is responsible for product vision and delivery of Kepware and IIoT edge connectivity products. The successful candidate will represent traditional Kepware customers while collaborating with Product teams focused on IIoT Solutions.  They will work closely with their team as well as our colleagues in Engineering, Marketing, Sales and Customer Success organizations to drive, refine and focus our go-to-market strategy for industrial connectivity.    

  1. Create compelling industry growth strategy by combining products, marketing, and sales to grow the customer base and increase sales within existing customers.
  2. Collaborate with Sales, Training, and Support teams to ensure products meet the market demands and customer satisfaction.
  3. Work closely with Engineering teams to define realistic solutions.
  4. Create business plans for new products and features that include: market problems, market definition, solution, distribution strategy, competitive landscape, roadmap, and financial projections.
  5. Evaluate potential projects based on market, customer, technical, and strategic criteria to generate prioritized project backlog.

  Skills and knowledge  

  • 3+ years’ experience working in or with manufacturing companies. 
  • Experience in software and technology sales, marketing, or consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following technologies: SCADA, HMI, PLCs, Control Systems, IoT, Asset Management, OPC, enterprise software, and industrial application software.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Familiarity with Pragmatic Marketing and agile software development.

  Basic Qualifications   

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • A solid understanding of computing environment concepts.
  • Knowledge of how software is developed and released.
