Why Does the Server Display More Tags Being Used Than Are Requested When Media Level Redundancy Is Enabled?
Last Update: 07.11.2018
When Media Level Redundancy is enabled, the server adds references for the requested items to both nodes in order to make the failover from primary to secondary occur as smoothly as possible. Only the active node will be polled: the secondary node will be inactive until it is needed. For example, when 7 tags are requested, 7 active tags of 14 total tags will be displayed. Only device tags are duplicated: system-level service tags will be read from the primary device only. In order to monitor specific channel or device-level System Tags, users must select them individually from each channel and device.
