Devices Accessed through a USB-to-Ethernet Adapter Have Stopped Communicating
Last Update: 07.11.2018
Problem:
A project is configured to communicate with one or more devices through a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. Communications fail while running, but resume after the device connections are reinitialized.
Possible Cause:
The USB Port's Power setting is configured to power the port down to save energy. To verify that this is the cause, check for the power light on the USB key. If it is off, the port is powered down.
Solution:
Change the USB Port's Power setting by opening the Device Manager and then double-clicking on Universal Serial Bus Controllers. Adjust the settings as desired and then click OK.
Note:
This change may be required for several adapters.
