Unable to Connect to KEPServerEX from 64-Bit Client via OPC DA

Problem:
When using a 64-bit client to connect to KEPServerEX* via an OPC DA or HDA interface, the client is unable to connect. The client cannot browse to the server and manual input of connection properties is ineffective. COM error code "0x80040154 Class not registered" may be returned to the client.

Solution:
Install the 64-bit version of Classic OPC Core Components on both Kepware software workstation and client workstation. The x64 installer for Classic Core Components is available through the OPC Foundation only with user registration.
