Today, the entire PTC Kepware team achieved a major milestone by releasing ThingWorx Kepware Edge. It is the first "Version 1.0" Kepware product released in over twelve years and represents a dedicated and coordinated effort from all departments and functions. In this post, I'll detail what the product is, why we built it, and how it is different from other Kepware products.

KEPServerEX version 6.7 was released on June 27, and security was a major focus of that release. We've made an important update to OPC UA certificate management within KEPServerEX in 6.7. As a result, it is important to institute certificate management practices at your organization to improve security and avoid interruptions in communications and costly downtime.

KEPServerEX version 6.7 was released on June 27, with new device connectivity for the Torque Tool driver, updates to the Configuration API, and new OPC UA security features. If you've already had the chance to download the latest version and test it out, you will likely notice what appears to be a minor change: there is now an UAC shield icon on the KEPServerEX desktop shortcut. This is a result of a broader change we've made to improve the application security of KEPServerEX.
