Bad Data Quality Message with Tags

Last Update: 11/12/2018

Problem:
The server automatically generated tags from the InTouch project, but users did not receive data and get bad quality when attempting to read tags with the OPC Quick Client.

Possible Cause:

1. The InTouch application is not running, and must be in order for the InTouch Client Driver to read live data.

2. The InTouch Client Driver was unable to load one or both of the Wonderware components needed for communication with InTouch. The "ptacc.dll" and "wwheap.dll" components' location must be included in the PATH system environment variable. If InTouch was installed before the server, the installation program should be able to locate these files and make any necessary additions to the path variable. If it was not, users must manually add the locations to the path variable.
