Connecting KEPServerEX to an Opto 22 SNAP-LCM4 and Other Controllers Using the Mistic Protocol

Last Update: 11/12/2018

The Mistic protocol (which is also called the Remote I/O protocol) is RS-485 with a separate wire pair for an interrupt signal. The standard driver communications library included in KEPServerEX does not support this interrupt signal; instead, users can utilize the Custom Interface Driver (CID). The CID enables users to configure their own communication classes (driver applications) outside of KEPServerEX for communications with devices. The classes then share that data with CID via Windows Shared Memory. For more information, refer to the Custom Interface Driver product manual.

Note: CID is only available in KEPServerEX version 5.0 and later.
