Does KEPServerEX Support Communications with the Siemens CP343-1 Lean CPU?

Last Update: 11/12/2018

Yes, Kepware's Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet Driver supports the CP343-1 Lean Ethernet module for S7-300 PLCs. This module supports a maximum of four simultaneous connections for S7 communications on Industrial Ethernet, which is the protocol used by the Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet Driver. For example, this means that if KEPServerEX was running on three different computers, it could access the same CP343-1 Lean Ethernet module at the same time. One spare connection would still be available. When multiple connections are made to one PLC Ethernet card, users may need to adjust the Siemens TCP/IP Ethernet Driver's Link Type parameter (located in the S7 Comm. Parameters tab in Device Properties). For more information on Link Types, refer to Unable to Connect to S7-300/S7-400 via TCP/IP Ethernet.
