Example of KEPServerEX Compatibility with Wonderware InSQL

Last Update: 11/12/2018

For example, users successfully using KEPServerEX as an IO server between a Modbus device and Wonderware Intouch would like to use Wonderware InSQL server 7.1 to log data from the same PLC. The IO server configuration in InSQL does not list KEPServerEX (or servermain) as an available IO server, although it is installed on the system. The closest match is the Wonderware OPCLink Driver.

Users will need to add a new Access name in Wonderware InSQL as they do in InTouch; then it will be on their I/O server list. They should also check with their Wonderware distributor, since an upgrade to 7.11 may be needed.
