InTouch Compatibility with KEPServerEX

Last Update: 11/7/2018

Users should be able to connect KEPServerEX with all versions of InTouch released since DDE support was added in 1986. For FastDDE/SuiteLink support, one of the following must be installed on the PC:

  • FactorySuite 2000 Common Components
  • InTouch Runtime Component version 8.0 or higher

To connect an earlier version of InTouch to KEPServerEX, users must use regular DDE instead of FastDDE/SuiteLink.

Note 1: If KEPServerEX is installed after the FastDDE/SuiteLink-capable version of InTouch has been installed, a FastDDE/SuiteLink tab will be visible in the server's Tools | Options dialog. This means that the server will accept FastDDE/SuiteLink connections from InTouch. For more information, refer to KEPServerEX Client Connectivity Guide For Wonderware InTouch.

Note 2: FactorySuite 2000 components are located on the "Device Integration CD" from InTouch. After these components have been installed, the server installer must be re-run to enable FastDDE/SuiteLink.
