Invalid Configuration Detected when Launching KEPServerEX V4

When attempting to launch KEPServerEX V4, a message box appears that states "Invalid configuration detected. The server was unable to determine the computer ID. Please run the installation program."

Click OK to close the message box, and then do the following:

  1. Browse to C:\Windows\System32 or C:\Windows\SysWOW64 on 64-bit operating systems.
  2. Delete the "slf0000.slf" file.
  3. Launch the Command Prompt using Run As Administrator.
  4. Change the directory to C:\Program Files\KEPServerEX or C:\Program Files (x86)\KEPServerEX on 64-bit operating systems.
  5. Next, type "servermain register" and press Enter.
  6. Next, type "kselogger servermain.exe" and press Enter.

    Note: On 64-bit operating systems, a message about "machnm1.exe" may appear. Ignore this message and continue to use KEPServerEX V4.
