Is a Special Cable Needed When Using an Omron PLC and an Ethernet-to-Serial Converter?

Last Update: 11/12/2018

Because Omron PLCs are sensitive to signals on the control lines, it is recommended that users create a custom cable to connect from the converter to the PLC communications port. Kepware tested this pinout with Digi converters and Lantronix converters, and found that a null modem adapter may sometimes be needed.
