Is KEPServerEX Compatible with Windows 64-Bit Operating Systems?

Last Update: 11/7/2018

Both KEPServerEX V4 and V5 are 32-bit applications that will run in 64-bit operating systems under the 32-bit environment. Some drivers, however, are required to use third-party low-level drivers that may be incompatible with 64-bit operating systems. A list of those drivers is as follows:

  • Allen-Bradley Data Highway Plus
  • Dataforth IsoLynx
  • Fanuc Focas HSSB
  • Hilscher Universal
  • Modbus Plus*
  • SattBus Serial**

*A 64-bit low-level driver is available.

**An ISA Card is required.

Note: KEPServerEX V4 uses older licensing technology that has latent dependencies on a "machnam1.exe" file. Any errors regarding this file can be ignored because they do not impact the server's operation or product licensing.
