Using Ghost with a PC that has OPC Software Installed

Last Update: 11/7/2018

Users typically do not encounter any problems when using Ghost on a PC that contains OPC applications. If Ghost version 2003.775 or earlier has been used, however, OPC connections that meet any of the following criteria may not work:

  • Remote connections
  • Connections to an OPC server that is running as a service
  • Connections to an OPC server that is running under a different user account than the OPC client application

Note: Using a Ghost version later than 2003.775 to make a new hard drive image should not cause issues with the OPC connections when restoring it to the PC's hard drive.
