The Runtime Disconnects When the SNMP Driver Performs Device Automatic Discovery While Using the TCP/IP Protocol

Last Update: 11/12/2018

The affected components are SNMP Driver Windows XP SP2 and SP3 Windows Vista SP1. This issue is caused by a limitation that Microsoft imposed on the TCP/IP Stack beginning in Windows XP SP2 and persisting into Windows Vista. It was removed in Windows Vista SP2, but remains in Windows XP SP3. For more information, refer to Microsoft's TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent (incomplete) TCP connect attempts.

In Channel Properties, select the Device Discovery tab. Then, increase the Timeout setting.
