A Product Licensed with a Hardware Key Goes into Demo Mode

Last Update: 11/7/2018

A Kepware product that has been licensed with a Hardware Key goes into Demo Mode unexpectedly.

Possible Cause:
The USB Port's Power Setting has been configured to power the port down in order to save energy.

Check for the power light on the USB key: if it is off, the USB Port is powered down. To change its power setting, open the Device Manager and then select Universal Serial Bus.

This change may be required for several adapters.
