When do I use Legacy Mode?

Last Update: 11/12/2018
Problem: Should I enable or disable Legacy Mode when working with ThingWorx?

Solution: The native interface between KEPServerEX and ThingWorx continues to improve. Initially, the interface allowed use of a custom ThingWorx template to get KEPServerEX data into the ThingWorx platform. KEPServerEX v6.1 and ThingWorx v7.4 "NextGen" Composer introduce seamless integration; but continue support for older versions by providing Legacy Mode. The following table clarify which mode to use for various the version combinations:
ThingWorx Version | KEPServerEX Version | Interface Mode
6.4 or higher | 5.21 | Legacy (default in 5.21)
7.3x or lower | 5.21 or higher | Legacy (default in 5.21)
7.4 or higher | 6.1 or higher | Integral (default in 6.1 and higher)

Note: If upgrading from KEPServerEX 5.21 or 6.0 with the ThingWorx Native interface to KEPServerEX to 6.1 or higher, the software automatically loads the project in Legacy Mode and continues to run in Legacy Mode.
