FastDDE/SuiteLink Tab Is Not Visible From Within the Server

The FastDDE/SuiteLink tab will only be displayed in the server's Options or Project Properties if a Wonderware FactorySuite product was installed on the PC before the server. The Wonderware FS2000 Common Components or InTouch Runtime Component 8.0 or higher must be installed on the PC for proper FastDDE/SuiteLink operation. The FS2000 components are located on the " Device Integration CD" in the Wonderware Suite.

If a FactorySuite product is installed but the FastDDE/SuiteLink tab is not displayed, users should do the following:

  1. Shut down all clients that may be connected to the server. Once complete, the lower-right corner of the server window should display "Clients: 0". Then, shut down the server.
  2. Next, re-run the server installation. It must be the same version or newer of the server version that is already installed. If unsure, download and run the current installer from the website.
  3. When prompted to update or modify, select Update. Then, let the server installation finish.
  4. Once finished, restart the server.
  5. Next, check for the FastDDE/SuiteLink tab:
    • In KEPServerEX V4, click Tools | Options.
    • In KEPServerEX V5, click File | Project Properties.
