The U-CON Move Buffer Pointer Command (Relative vs. Absolute)

Last Update: 2019/02/11

The U-CON Move Buffer command has two options for movement: Relative or Absolute. Although both move the buffer pointer, the result is different. When using the Relative option, the buffer is moved forward or backwards by a count of bytes from the current location. For example, if the Buffer Pointer is at byte 1 and the Move command moves it relative 8 bytes, the resulting buffer pointer location will be byte 9. When using the Absolute option, the buffer pointer is moved to the specified byte. For example, if the Buffer Pointer is at byte 1 and the Move command moves it absolute 8 bytes, the resulting buffer pointer location will be byte 8.
