How Does an Always Triggered Trigger Work?

Last Update: 2018/11/12

An "Always Triggered" trigger is always active (or in a triggered state) when the Log Group is enabled. It can log data on Static Interval, Data Change, or both. Descriptions of the options are as follows:

  • Static Interval: When logging on Static Interval, data will be logged when the specified interval is met. Intervals may be set in milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days, or weeks. Because data will not be logged until the interval is met, users should select the logging interval carefully.
  • Data Change: When logging on Data Change, data will be logged when the value or quality changes. When using wide format tables, any change will log all the items in the Log Group using the last known value and quality from cache memory.
  • Both: When logging on both, data will be logged on Data Change and at the specified Static Interval (regardless of change state).
