Instructions depend on what is being used to connect to the server:
- Wonderware OPC Clients: Verify that the DCOM security settings are properly configured. For more information, refer DCOM Configuration for KEPServerEX.
Note: A connection failure will occur if an incorrect OPC Program ID is used. The correct Program ID is "Kepware.KEPServerEX.V4". - FastDDE/SuiteLink: Verify that the Access Name includes the correct application name. The application name for KEPServerEX is "servermain". A node name is not required when connecting to the server on the local PC.
Note: Users should make sure that the FastDDE/SuiteLink tab is visible in KEPServerEX's Project Properties dialog. To access this dialog, click File | Project Properties. If the tab is not visible, refer to FastDDE/DDE SuiteLink. For more information, refer to KEPServerEX Client Connectivity Guide for Wonderware InTouch.
Important: FastDDE/Suitelink connectivity is recommended whenever possible, because it removes the need for another application between the InTouch project and data.
