The GE iFIX Native Interface Option Cannot be Selected During Installation

Possible Cause:
The KEPServerEX V5 installation checks the Windows Registry for supported versions of iFIX from GE Intelligent Platforms. Because iFIX 5.1 has a unique entry in the registry, the installation assumes that the product is not supported.

Solution:
Upgrade to KEPServerEX version 5.3.156 or greater. If upgrading is not possible due to licensing constraints, add a registry entry for an iFIX version that is supported by KEPServerEX. For more information, refer to the instructions below.

  1. To start, launch the command prompt and enter "regedit". Then, click OK.
  2. Add the following key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\GE Fanuc\Proficy HMI SCADA - iFIX 5.0].
  3. Next, re-install KEPServerEX V5 and select Modify.
  4. In Select Features, locate the Native Client Interfaces list.
  5. Select GE iFIX Native Interface, and then finish the install.
